Burning Nest is an event inspired by Burning Man, it’s culture, community and principles.
It is a co-created community gathering for authenticity, self expression, playfulness, depth, expanding perspectives and enjoying good company.
It is magical, real, ridiculous, and profound. It is difficult to describe or summarise. Come see for yourself.
How does it work
A shared commitment to embodying the Burner Principles, a little bit of magic, and a whole lot of elbow grease and communal effort.
Burning Nest is a non-profit organisation that runs solely on the energy and enthusiasm of its volunteers: everyone who attends is co-creating the space and experiences they wish to explore. No one gets in for free or gets paid for their contribution – from carpenters, artists and musicians, right up to the organising crew and board members. Everybody contributes in some way, and everybody participates. The more you put in the more you get back.
Long story short: come see for yourself! Come with an open heart and mind, and dive in!
FAQs
Q: So is it a festival?
A: Nope. Nest is a Burn, not a festival. No headliners, no spectators, no VIP areas, no vending. It’s a volunteer-built, community-led experiment guided by the 11 Principles. You don’t just attend, you participate. Bring art, run a workshop, perform, join a theme camp, or volunteer on a crew. You’re the line-up.
Q: How much does the event cost?
A: From £200 for a standard ticket. That gets you seven days of experiences in a beautiful woodland glade filled with art, music, wild ideas, and wonderful, silly, interesting weirdos.
We also offer Inclusion (low-income) tickets at £85 for those for whom the full price would be a genuine barrier. These require an application and approval, and numbers are limited, so please only apply if you truly need one.
Q: Where and when?
Q: Should i bring a tent, a motorhome?
A: Yes and yes. Bring your own tent or camper. Motorhomes are welcome. Be fully self-reliant for shelter, food, water, and power, and leave no trace.
